One of the main questions I am asked is about the printing process and what type of printing to choose from, I have listed all the options below with a short explanation about the process involved:
Suitable for all types of paper: handmade, Gesso and luxury card. The wedding stationery is printed either using laser for Gesso and luxury card or ink jet printing for handmade paper. You can choose any colour and the ink stays flat on the paper.
The metallic foil (available in a variety of colours) is layered onto the card, suitable only for smooth luxury card (not handmade or Gesso).
This can be combined with other colours with just some of the elements being foiled and does not require a plate to be made.
The foil is heat pressed into the card creating an indent that you can feel when you run your fingers over the paper, suitable for all types of paper & card. To create this a plate is made with your design and then the foil is pressed into the card.
This also can be combined with other colours and can just be one element or the whole design if you wish. Please note there is a minimum order of 25 for any hot foil orders.
Similar to hot foil but instead of a metallic foil an ink colour (s) are pressed into the paper / card creating an indent – normally only one or two colours. Also requires a plate to be made. Printed on a special press using traditional methods and creates a deep impression into the card. This process can be used on any type of handmade paper or card. Please note letterpress printing prices are not included in the products but certainly is available if you are interested in having a letterpress suite. There is a minimum order of 50 and if you would like to enquire for this service simply send us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org detailing the items you are interested in and we can come back to you with prices.
